About the job

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Core Services team in Manchester city centre. Reporting into the Finance Lead, you will be responsible for supporting efficient and accurate transactional processing for Auto Trader. You will process requests such as purchase orders, invoices, expenses, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and also assisting with payment queries.

Our Core Services team ensure our colleagues are informed, up to date, and can access crucial information so being customer focused is key. The role is process driven and you will be working to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines so it’s important that you enjoy managing numerous tasks simultaneously. It would be beneficial if you have experience working in an Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable role within a finance team. You might assume that our name, “Auto Trader,” means you need to be a car enthusiast to work here. But that’s not the case. We’re looking for people who are passionate about their work and thrive in a collaborative environment.

What we’re looking for

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with excellent Excel skills
• Great organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Ability to prioritise enabling you to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to build and develop positive relationships particularly by phone and by email.
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment with good understanding of internal and external customer needs.
• The initiative to constructively challenge existing processes to explore further efficiency or enhance customer service.

We’re offering a salary between £25,000 and £28,000 dependent on experience and a flexible benefits package to support your health and wellbeing.
