An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Textile Process & Machine Operative, to be part of our prestigious clients’ team. This company is a market leader in its field of textiles manufacturing.
The hours of work for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday and the salary is negotiable, dependant on your experience.
Duties & Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:
·Assess processes, equipment and manufacturing capability
·Working with the operations Team to design and develop solutions to eradicate problems, improve production output and troubleshoot
·Interpreting data and reviewing information to implement new processes and solutions
·Optimising processes for increased productivity, minimum energy consumption, maximum process efficiency and minimum total system cost
·Conducting innovative process development experiments, process simulations and present results
·Improving quality to sustainable levels and driving down defects of raw material & end products
·Able to demonstrate the successful use of problem-solving techniques to improve manufacturing processes
·A keen understanding and proven ability to employ Lean methodology & using Lean principles and continuous improvement
·Experience working with coating processes is beneficial
·An understanding of woven textiles is also advantageous
·Able to communicate at all levels, confident and articulate
·Prepared to lead a number of case studies on projects in the plant, involving hands on interaction with Associates; business understanding, problem solving techniques, generating enthusiasm and supporting other Associates working on projects and case studies
·Able to work with minimal supervision, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
·Experienced in SAP & Barco would be advantageous
