Machine Operator

Northern Employment Services are excited to have a Production Operative join our client in their busy production team and become the very beginning of their process – making products! Responsible for operating manufacturing lines, building and packaging product, housekeeping, and personal safety. Factory organization, housekeeping and personal safety are the fundamentals of the role and in every task.

Main Responsibilities:

·Operate Machinery and required equipment within the department

·Follow production schedule

·Build and package finished products

·Perform all quality requirements to insure products meet all specifications

·Maintain safe and clean work place

·Suggest and help implement cost saving initiatives

·Effectively communicate daily safety/production needs to management

·Occasionally work within warehousing department as and when required

·Additional projects and roles as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

·Basic math skills

·Written and verbal communication skills

·Must be able to work well in a team and independently

·Must be able to work with PPE for extended periods of time

·Must be able to drive a forklift (preferable but not required initially)

Education and Experience:

High school education and some manufacturing experience would be preferable

Working hours:

2PM – 10PM

10pm – 6am

Monday to Friday

Pay rate:

£9ph – this will increase over time
